Terms of Service

Last updated 2 August 2026. The agreement between your salon and Trimelo for use of the booking platform.

Agreement

These Terms govern access to Trimelo’s software and related services for Australian salon and barbershop businesses. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. Contact: admin@trimelo.io. Entity and ABN details will be added when registered.

End clients who book through a salon’s public booking page contract with that salon for the appointment and any salon fee terms shown at booking. Trimelo hosts the tools; we are not the salon’s agent for the service appointment itself.

The service

Trimelo provides online booking, calendar and staff scheduling, client CRM, payments and deposits (via Stripe Connect), SMS/email messaging, waitlist/backfill tooling, reporting, and a staff mobile app. Features may vary by plan and rollout status (see our public roadmap).

Fees and “no commission”

Platform fees are subscription charges billed in AUD. The plan price shown is the total amount payable — nothing is added on top at checkout. We do not take a commission on bookings or add a client-facing platform fee on card payments processed for your salon.

Stripe’s own processing rates apply to card payments on your connected account. You are responsible for connecting and maintaining a valid Stripe Express (or supported) account to accept card payments.

Payments roles

For client deposits, balances, and authorised fees, your salon (or chair-renter payee, where configured) is the merchant of record on the connected Stripe account. Trimelo is the merchant only for your Trimelo subscription.

Fee charges use the consent snapshot captured when the client booked. Changing your no-show or late-cancellation amounts later does not rewrite amounts already agreed on existing appointments.

Your responsibilities

You must:

  • Provide accurate salon, staff, service, and business details, including your ABN.
  • Use the service only for lawful salon/barber operations and comply with the Spam Act 2003 and Privacy Act 1988 for how you message and store client data.
  • Obtain any required consent for commercial SMS/email; transactional booking messages remain your responsibility to configure appropriately.
  • Not attempt to circumvent tenancy, security, payment, or rate limits, or misuse AI messaging to mislead clients.
  • Keep staff login credentials secure and revoke access when people leave.

Data ownership and export

You retain ownership of your salon’s client and booking data. We process it to provide the service. You may export client data at any time through the product (and request broader assistance via support). There is no contractual lock-in fee for exporting your data.

AI and messaging features

AI-assisted SMS features classify replies and personalise offers using authorised booking context. They are designed not to invent times, prices, or availability. AI-assisted client CSV import may suggest column mappings from headers and a small redacted sample; Trimelo applies the mapping with deterministic validation and never sends the full CSV to the model. You remain responsible for the commercial relationship with your clients and for reviewing settings that send messages or import data on your behalf.

Availability and third parties

We target high availability for booking and payments but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Outages or limits at Stripe, Mobile Message, Auth0, hosting, or LLM providers may affect features. We are not liable for losses caused solely by those third parties beyond our reasonable control.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for non-payment, abuse, legal risk, or material breach. You may stop using the service and cancel your subscription under the plan’s billing terms. On termination we will make reasonable export assistance available for a limited period.

Liability

To the extent permitted by the Australian Consumer Law and other non-excludable rights, Trimelo’s aggregate liability arising from the service is limited to the subscription fees you paid us in the three months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost bookings, except where liability cannot be limited by law.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Courts in Australia have non-exclusive jurisdiction. We may update these Terms; continued use after notice of material changes constitutes acceptance.

This summary reflects how Trimelo works today. It is not a substitute for legal advice. ABN and registered entity details will be added when available.
